Dr. Lance Buckley

The son of an RCMP member I spent most of my formative years moving across the Northwest Territories. An interest in craftsmanship involving my hands plus a sports accident involving my front teeth steered me in the direction of dentistry as a career. Summers were spent at a remote mining camp where I worked as a plumber’s assistant, a carpenters assistant, janitorial assistant, truck driver and as a mechanical crew assistant working underground. The experience I gained with this diversity of job and people was invaluable but honed my resolve to pursue a career where I could help and still be hands on.

Graduation from Jasper Place Highschool in 1978 saw me accepted to the U of A where I graduated six years later with a BSc D.D.S. My dental career was almost ended before it began by a severe car accident in 1983. It delayed my graduation a bit but it steeled my resolve to be a dentist and I was able to graduate with my class in 1984.

My first associate position found me in Cold Lake where I had two sons and eventually bought in as a partner at Tri-Town Dental Centre. I returned to Edmonton in 1996 and practiced as an associate until August 2008 when I opened my own practice in Sherwood Park.

With my wife, Jo-Anne as the office manager, I am able to keep the business side of dentistry at arms length and concentrate on my passion for dentistry. I have surrounded myself with a super team that share my ideals and ethics and have kept up on the latest technology that I feel benefits my patients the most. Our practice is built to put patients at ease, to not feel rushed and to essentially be treated as a valued family.
